Darjeeling teas aren’t always black! This unique variety from the Makaibari estate in the foothills of the Himalayas boasts a strong, developed taste perfectly complimented by a sweet finish. The current owner of the Makaibari estate is a descendant of the original founding family and was one of the first plantations to be certified fair trade and organic, and puts a heavy emphasis on furthering female opportunities in an otherwise male-dominated industry. We applaud the Makaibari estate for all their efforts and are proud to offer their tea in our collection.

Smooth and Traditional
This green tea is smooth and traditional. It is a great base if you like to mix your own blends. I added Lavender Blossoms for a perfect afternoon cup… a little peace and a little caffeine. My only complaint is the leaves are very broken up and small. Good if you are making you own tea bags, but detract from the beauty of the tea when in my glass travel bottle (with built in strainer).
