Benifuki Japanese Black Tea
$7.00
Loose Leaf Black Tea Available by the Whole Ounce or Pound.
While Japan is traditionally known for producing strong, flavorful green teas, this unique black variety offers a delicate sweetness rounded off by a touch of ripe plum. A hybrid tea plant developed in the mid 1960s from both the Assamica and sinensis tea plants, the leaf itself is flat and coarse with a deep, dark appearance. Translated from Japanese, Benifuki means “red riches and honor,” and this tea certainly upholds that translation.
